The Babysitting Simulation

(Windows)  $45.00 This highly interactive package employs a "which-way" format and four simulated strands to examine numerous principles of effective and responsible babysitting. Users can choose from four available jobs; a six month-old baby, two unreleated two year-olds, a family with three children ages 11, 7, and 5, and a five year-old girl. Each job offers unique situations and challenging decisions.  Sound decision making is required to successfully complete each strand of the simulation. Poor decisions that endanger the safety or well-being of the children result in job termination.  Successful completion of the simulation provides the students with the opportunity to test their powers of intuition by playing the review game, E.S.P. Tester. This entertaining game reviews the concepts of the unit while providing a motivational boost to students of all ability levels.
